Disney is turning a regular day at the movies into an event to remember. Audiences taking in their new animated film, “Tangled,” at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, will be treated to an all-new live stage show before each screening from November 24 until December 16.
The El Capitan, an historic theatre in downtown Hollywood, has been restored to its early twentieth-century opulence. The theatre is leased by Disney, and serves as an exclusive first run theatre for Walt Disney Pictures.
Disney’s milestone fiftieth animated feature will be shown at the theatre in 3D. The musical film features the voices of Zachary Levi, Mandy Moore, and Tony Award-winner Donna Murphy, and breathes fresh air into the story of Rapunzel, who meets the charming Flynn, and together they embark on a harrowing, action-packed adventure.
A “Tangled Tea” will also be served during select shows. The cost of the tea is $25 per person, and includes traditional tea service. Tickets for the musical review and screening range in price from $17 to $30. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit the El Capitan’s website.
The El Capitan is located at 6838 Hollywood Boulevard.
