More details were announced for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at last weekend’s panel discussion at the Star Wars: Galactic Nights event.
The land will be set on the planet Batuu in the Black Spire Outpost – the largest settlement on the planet and an “infamous stop for traders, adventurers, and smugglers traveling around the Outer Rim and Wild Space,” according to Disney.
Guests visiting Black Spire Outpost will find two full-size AT-ATs towering over the area, in addition to life size ships.
In addition to the previously announced Millennium Falcon attraction, the Black Spire Outpost will also be home to a second attraction that will include entering a full size Resistance Troop Transport — to “set off on an adventure.”
The Black Spire Outpost will also feature restaurants and shops.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is slated to open in the summer of 2019 at Disneyland and late 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. To get the most up-to-date details visit the Disney Food Blog’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge page.
