Starting today, guests can celebrate the Chinese New Year at Shanghai Disney Resort with special entertainment, merchandise, food, and more.
The celebration of the Year of the Dog will include decorations in bright red and yellow, Mickey and friends in seasonal costumes ready for photos with guests, and guests will receive special wishing cards and golden chocolate coins symbolizing good fortune.
The Garden of Twelve Friends will be transformed into a Wishing Garden for the holiday while the Gardens of Imagination will be home to a drum ceremony each morning.
Shaghai Swing, a new performance, will take place in Celebration Square and features characters in vintage Shanghai costumes.
At Remy’s Patisserie and Il Paperino guests can enjoy Chinese New Year specialties, or take in a traditional family feast at Wandering Moon Restaurant, or Royal Banquet Hall’s special holiday dinner. Holiday dining is also available at the resort hotels, including Lumiere’s Kitchen, Aurora, Sunnyside Café and Sunnyside Market.
Holiday merchandise includes Lucky Bags filled with surprises.
And, a Chinese New Year Carnival will be held at Disneytown every weekend until February 21.
