Disney Springs is preparing to celebrate the 2016 holiday season with new festive offerings, great shopping, and even Santa’s Chalet.
New this year to Disney Springs is the nightly tree lighting ceremony that will take place near the fountain outside Once Upon a Toy. Each tree has been decorated to capture a Disney theme.
Starting November 14 guests can meet Santa Claus at Santa’s Chalet located in the cottage across from the Ghirardelli Ice Cream and Chocolate Shop. Guests should check in at the podium to receive a pager and then return to the podium within 10 minutes of the pager notification.
Santa will be meeting guests from November 14 through December 24, and Santa Goofy takes over from December 25 through December 30.
Live entertainment at Disney Springs this holiday season includes a holiday-themed DJ dance party, toy soldier and snowflake stilt walkers, carolers, acapella groups, and more. The entertainment happens each night from 6-10 p.m. from November 13 through January 8.
A special performance celebrating Kwanza is planned for December 26 and 27 at the Waterside Stage in the Marketplace.
And, songs and stories in honor of Hanukkah will be performed each evening at the Waterview Park in The Landing from December 24 through January 1.
