The Disneyland Resort is going to break ground on a new Eastern Gateway that is scheduled to open in 2018.
The new gateway will provide guests with additional access and parking when it opens.
The Eastern Gateway will be located on the east side of the resort – naturally – will include 6,800 parking spaces, an elevated pedestrian bridge, and a new transportation facility.
This new project is the largest infrastructure project at the resort in 20 years and will be the arrival area for taxis, buses, bicycles, and shuttles that use the existing facility on the west side of the resort. The pedestrian bridge will link guests at the parking structure with the main entrance plaza for Disneyland Resort.
The project will be completed sometime in 2018. We’ll keep you updated as the project progresses.
