This summer promises to be a very exciting season at the Walt Disney World Resort thanks to new experiences and attractions.
The fun starts April 4 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with the start of a new stage show, ‘Star Wars: A Galaxy Far, Far Away.’ The show features moments from the Star Wars films and features BB-8, Kylo Ren, Darth Vader, and more.
Later in the summer a new fireworks show, ‘Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular’ debuts at the Studios.
At Disney’s Animal Kingdom the new nighttime spectacular, Rivers of Light, debuts on Earth Day, April 22. The park’s Tree of Life will also come to life each night during a celebration on Discovery Island.
Once the Animal Kingdom becomes a nighttime park, guests can enjoy Kilimanjaro Safaris at night as the attraction is transformed to a sunset safari after dark.
Epcot’s Frozen Ever After attraction is schedule to open this summer plus Anna and Elsa will be meeting guests at the Royal Sommerhus in the Norway pavilion. Soarin’ Around the World will open this summer in Future World and characters from Finding Dory will find their way to Turtle Talk with Crush.
The Magic Kingdom will debut a brand new stage show this summer with Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire. The show marks the first time Tiana and Rapunzel will star in a show at the park.
And at Disney Springs guests can enjoy more than 30 new tenants including high-end retailers and restaurants. These new additions will open in phases beginning May 15.
