The 2016 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival kicks off in less than one month on March 2 and Disney has recently announced two new Outdoor Kitchens joining the festival.
This year’s festival will run for a record 90 days until May 30 and will feature the first-ever Huey, Dewey, and Louie topiaries inspired by a 1943 Donald Duck comic book, ‘The Victory Garden.’ This display will be located at the front entrance to Epcot.
The Outdoor Kitchens return again this year with two new booths – La Isla Fresca and Cider House. Guests can experience Caribbean flavor at La Isla Fresca with dishes including Jamaican Braised Beef with Pigeon-Pea Rice and Jerk Spiced Grouper or Chicken.
The Cider House will serve up a Field Greens Salads with greens from The Land pavilion. Guests can also sip on a blueberry hard cider from Plant City, Florida.
The other Outdoor Kitches are: Urban Farm Eats, Pineapple Promenade, Fleur de Lys, Florida Fresh, Taste of Marrakesh, Hanami, THE SMOKEHOUSE: Barbecue and Brews, Primavera Kitchen, Lotus House, Bauernmarkt and Jardin de Fiestas.
An all-new Harmony Garden musical playground debuts this year featuring Daisy’s Fab Five topiaries with Mickey Mouse as the band leader. The playground will include interactive drums, chimes, and xylophones so kids can create their own music.
This year’s festival will also feature Fun Fresh Weekends including: Art in the Garden Weekend on April 1-3; Family Fun Weekend on April 8-10; Earth Day Weekend on April 22-24; and Florida Fresh Weekend on April 29-May 1.
The 2016 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival starts March 2 and is included in your Epcot admission.
