D23: The Official Disney Fan Club is giving its gold members a chance to be some of the first to tour the recently refurbished office of Walt Disney in Burbank, CA.
This tour will be the first D23 tour group to visit Walt’s newly restored office at The Walt Disney Studios lot. The event also includes a special presentation by the Disney Photo Library team and a three-course meal at the Tam O’Shanter.
The Tam O’Shanter was a favorite spot for Walt Disney and his staff and was, at one time, called the Studio Commissary when the company was located on Hyperion Avenue.
During the event, D23 gold members will also get a behind-the-scenes look at the Archives’ effort to digitize its photography collection. Guests will also have a chance to shop at the Disney Studio Store.
The tour is Friday, January 29 and it begins at 2 p.m. at the Disney Studio. Dinner at the Tam O’Shanter is at 6 p.m. Tickets are $245 per person and go on sale on January 4 at 10 a.m. PT.
