The wait is over! The Jungle Navigation Co. Ltd. Skipper Canteen is currently in soft opening at the Magic Kingdom with the official grand opening set for December 16.
The 222-seat table service restaurant is located in Adventureland in the Magic Kingdom and features dishes inspired by the tastes of Asia, South America, and Africa.
Guests can dine in three distinct dining rooms – the Crew’s Mess Hall, the Falls Family Parlor, or the Secret Meeting Room of the S.E.A. (Society of Adventurers and Explorers). The restaurant is staffed by Jungle Cruise skippers.
The menu includes items such as Dr. Falls’ Signature Grilled Steak served with yucca planks, Rice Noodle bowl, Trader Sam’s Head-On Shrimp, house-made arepas, Falls Family Falafel, and more. Currently the same menu is used at lunch and dinner and both meals are table service meals.
Alcohol is not on the menu but guests can enjoy fun non-alcoholic drinks including the Punch Line Punch and the Schweitzer Slush which is served in a souvenir Jungle Skipper Canteen mug.
Kids can choose from an Egyptian-style mac and cheese, grilled flank steak, chicken noodle soup, and more.
Eventually guests will be able to make Advance Dining Reservations for the restaurant. The Disney Dining Plan and Tables in Wonderland will be accepted.
