The Dark Side is coming to the Walt Disney World Resort in an all-new runDisney event.
The Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side was just announced as the newest race to join the runDisney lineup.
The inaugural event blasts off April 14-17, 2016 and includes a 5K, 10K, half marathon, kids races, and the Star Wars Dark Side Challenge.
The Dark Side Challenge requires the completion of the 10K and the half marathon at Walt Disney World. Runners who complete the Dark Side Challenge will earn a Death Star-themed medal.
Runners who participate in both the Disneyland Star Wars Half Marathon – Light Side of the Force and the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side at Walt Disney World will earn the Kessel Run Challenge medal that was inspired by the Millennium Falcon.
The Dark Side half marathon course is 13.1 miles through Epcot, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with a finish line at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
Registration for the Star Wars Half Marathon – The Dark Side opens September 22 at runDisney.com.
