Last weekend’s D23 Expo was full of surprises and big announcements when it came to the Disney Parks, but there was also big news from Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media.
Announcements were made about Disney Infinity 3.0 and Kingdom Hearts III in addition to two new limited edition Star Wars PlayStation hardware bundles.
Fans will be able to purchase the two special limited-edition Darth Vader-inspired PlayStation 4 Star Wars bundles – Star Wars: Battlefront and Disney Infinity 3.0: Star Wars. Both bundles include a fully customized PS4 featuring an image of Darth Vader, a controller inspired by Vader’s suit, and more.
During the presentation John Boyega and Daisy Ridley – co-stars of Star Wars: The Force Awakens – surprised guests and gave away their figures Finn and Rey for the Disney Infinity 3.0 Edition.
Other new Infinity characters that were revealed include Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps from Zootopia, Spot from Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur, and a limited edition set of Light FX Star Wars characters.
Guests in Hall D23 also received a special Kingdom Hearts Mickey Costume Power Disc. It was also revealed that Baymax and other characters from Big Hero 6 will be joining Kingdom Hearts III.
Disney Interactive also announced Disney Magic Kingdom, which is a new mobile game that will allow players to build the Disney theme park of their dreams.
