Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media (DCPI) recently announced the new Cars Daredevil Garage mobile app that works with Mattel diecast cars.
This action-packed app gives fans a chance to collect and scan the Mattel dicast cars and use them in the virtual stunt-filled world. A new Precision Series of “detailed and movie accurate” collector diecast cars is set to be released this fall by DCPI. The cars will feature elements unique to each Cars character.
Fans can collect and scan any of Mattle’s 2015 mainline diecasst cars into the app and then the cars can perform extreme stunts in real-world settings that are inspired by the way kids play with cars. The free app also includes racing with Lightning McQueen and users can earn more racing friends.
More than 80 cars can also be purchased in the app so fans can collect all of their favorite cars on and off the screen.
“Cars is one of the most popular animated film franchises of all time, and we are excited to provide fans with another way to celebrate their love for Cars in both the physical and digital worlds,” said Andrew Sugerman, executive vice president, Disney Publishing Worldwide. “In the app, children and adult fans alike will love stunting towards the finish line in true Lightning McQueen style.”
The Cars Daredevil Garage app is available now from the App Store and the diecast cars are available at retailers nationwide.
