As part of the Disneyland Resort Diamond Celebration a new exhibit has recently opened at The Disney Gallery.
The exhibit – Drawing Disneyland: The Early Years – Imagineers Who Helped Bring Walt’s Dream To Life – was unveiled on May 22 during the 24-hour party at Disneyland the kicked off the Diamond Celebration.
The Disney Gallery is located in the lobby of The Disneyland Story presenting Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
The exhibit celebrates five of the artists who helped bring Walt Disney’s vision for Disneyland to life: Harper Goff (Adventureland), John Hench (Tomorrowland), Harry Johnson (Main Street U.S.A.), Bill Martin (Fantasyland), and Sam McKim (Frontierland).
Each of the artists honored by the exhibit played a key role in developing Disneyland by drawing on their experience in film background design and set design.
