Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting ready to open its newest area, the Harambe Market.
The area is scheduled to open later this month and will feature food and merchandise locations, including four walk-up windows where guests can order African-inspired street food.
The story behind the Harambe Market is that it’s a center of commerce and a place for visitors to visit before exploring the animal reserve.
The Market will feature the Kitamu Grill where guests can order skewered chicken and a kabob flatbread sandwich; Famous Sausages which will serve sausage corn dogs dipped in a curry-infused batter; Chef Mwanga’s which will be serving spice rubbed Karubi Ribs; and Wanjohi Refreshments where guests will find alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
In addition to the food and merchandise spots, the Harambe Market will also have seating for about 200.
Look for the Harambe Market to open in late May.
