Hong Kong Disneyland Resort recently broke ground on its third hotel – the Disney Explorers Lodge.
The Explorers Lodge will feature an “exploration theme” in the guest rooms, four distinct gardens, three restaurants, and outdoor swimming pool.
The gardens at the hotel are: the South American Garden, the Polynesian Garden, the Asian Garden, and the African Garden.
The story of the hotel is that four explorers in the 1920s build a lodge based on their travels around the world. The hotel’s details are inspired by these travels to four regions (also represented in the gardens) – an African savanna, a South American rainforest, a Polynesian island, and Asia.
Hong Kong Disneyland will also be home to the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel, both with their own unique themes.
The 750-room Disney Explorers Lodge is expected to open in 2017.
