Disney Consumer Products recently introduced new Disney and Marvel branded bagged apples at grocery stores around the country.
The bagged apples feature both Frozen and Marvel’s Spider-Man branded bags and are packaged to inspire kids to eat more fruits and vegetables.
“Beyond the toy aisle, Frozen is also keeping the produce section fresh and cool,” said John T. King, vice president of licensing, consumables, Disney Consumer Products. “The global appeal of our stories and characters gives Disney Consumer Products an opportunity to continue to expand our produce portfolio and empower parents with more nutritious food options for their kids.”
Earlier this year, Disney Consumer Products worked with Albertsons on a summer fruit program that saw increased traffic and produce sales at participating stores. DCP also worked with Winn-Dixie on a collaboration that included signage with Disney characters, Disney-themed events in stores, and samples of fresh fruits and vegetables.
These collaborations with Disney Consumer Products are part of the Disney Magic of Healthy Living initiative which helps to inspire families to lead healthier lifestyles.
