The Disney Ambassador Program is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and recently the new Disney Parks Ambassadors were announced.
The first Disney Ambassador was Julie Reihm Casaletto, who was a tour guide at Disneyland when Walt Disney picked her to act as a representative for the theme park. The ambassador program was launched during the 10th anniversary of Disneyland.
This week Julie and more than 50 other Disney Ambassadors were present during a ceremony at Sleeping Beauty Castle where the 2015-16 Disneyland Resort Ambassador team was announced.
The new Disneyland Resort Ambassadors are Jessica Bernard and Allie Kawamoto.
At Walt Disney World Resort the Disney Ambassador team of Caitlin Busscher and Nathaniel Palma were announced and will represent nearly 70,000 Central Florida cast members.
Ambassadors were also announced at Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disney Resort, and Disneyland Paris. Disney will also choose ambassadors this year for the Shanghai Disney Resort and Aulani.
