It’s been a fun-filled week in the World of Disney news! Summer officially kicked off at the Disney Parks on both coasts this past Friday during the 24-hour Rock Your Disney Side party! So let’s get this party started!

Earlier this week there was news from the set of Star Wars Episode VII. Director J.J. Abrams announced the Star Wars Force for Change campaign, which is going to raise money for UNICEF while giving one lucky fan a walk-on role in the new film!
Speaking of Star Wars, our friends at the Disney Food Blog have a great review up for two new drinks being offered during Star Wars Weekends – The Force and The Dark Side. We think you should try both so you get the glow lightsaber and glow Death Star – the best of both worlds! And for a sweet snack while sipping on your out-of-this-world drink, we suggest a Darth Vader or Yoda cupcake.
If you’re headed to the gym to work off all the Star Wars Weekend food and drink, our friend at Walt Disney World for Grownups have a perfect gym outfit for you in their Saturday Style report.
Anyone visiting Walt Disney World will be using the MyMagic+ system and WDWFG is reporting on the latest news for MyMagic+ in addition to a review on the free MyDisneyExperience app that works with MyMagic+.

Maybe the most exciting food news from Disney is the report that Dole Whip is headed to the Animal Kingdom! The Disney Food Blog is reporting that Tamu Tamu Refreshments will be serving Dole Whip very soon, and you can even get it with a shot of rum, just like at the Flower and Garden Festival!
Coffee fans rejoice! The newest Disney Starbucks location opened this week in Downtown Disney!
Frozen on Ice and Cars at the Speedway
This week also brought news of a new Frozen Disney on Ice performance headed to an ice arena near you this fall. And, over at the Walt Disney World Speedway they’re bringing two Cars characters to the track for an all-new junior ride along experience!
And, if you’re thinking of a Disney Cruise Line trip for 2015, the DCL just announced that the Disney Wonder is headed to Hawaii, San Diego, and the port of Galveston next year.
