Just in time for Mother’s Day shopping, the Walt Disney World Resort has announced the May merchandise events.
The month begins with an appearance by Larry Dotson on May 1-4 at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney Marketplace. Larry will also be at the Main Street Cinema in the Magic Kingdom from May 21-24.
On May 2 from 5-7 p.m., Disney Design Group artist Casey Jones will be appearing at D Street in Downtown Disney to sign the new Pirates of the Caribbean Vinylmation Series 2. You can find the perfect Mother’s Day gift in Downtown Disney on May 2 and 3, at the Chamilia Trunk Show at Tren-D.
If you’re a fan of the Disney Collection by Vera Bradley, make your reservations for A Perfect Petals Brunch on May 4 at World ShowPlace in Epcot. In addition to the brunch, guests will have a chance to purchase the new “Mickey’s Perfect Petals” design. Reservations are still available for the brunch.
Artist Greg McCullough returns to Walt Disney World on May 7-11 when he visits the Art of Disney in Epcot, and then on May 21-25 he’ll be appearing at the Art of Disney in Downtown Disney. If you miss Greg on those dates, you can also catch him on May 28-June 1 at the Animation Gallery at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Precious Moments doll maker Linda Rick will be at Once Upon a Toy in Downtown Disney on May 8-11 to debut her new Cinderella-inspired collection. Artist David E. Doss will be appearing at Art of Disney in Downtown Disney from May 10-20.
HARVEYS seatbelt bag designers Dana and Melanie Harvey are headed to Walt Disney World on May 17 and 18 to showcase some of their new designs from their Pop Art Mickey collection. You can meet them on May 17 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Tren-D, on May 18 from 12-2 p.m. at Uptown Jewelers in the Magic Kingdom, and on May 18 from 5-7 p.m. at Summer Lace in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
Other events in May include the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios on May 1 (special merchandise will be available), Star Wars Weekends beginning May 16 with the Rebel Rendezvous Event on May 15, and the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival runs through May 18.
