Disney’s latest app allows kids and their families to explore nature through augmented reality and animal behavior game play.
The app – Disneynature Explore – is available in the Apple App Store and was launched as part of the celebration of Earth Month. The app was made possible by Disney Citizenship.
Disneynature Explore uses a combination of augmented reality and game play to encourage families to discover and play in nature. Five animals are featured on the app – monarch butterfly, brown bear, chimpanzee, African lion, and loggerhead sea turtle.
Each animal has four challenges, including viewing surroundings through the eyes of a butterfly, following bear cub tracks, or hunting for a warthog in your yard with a lion.
Users of the app can earn virtual Disneynature pins and can even go on photo missions in the Disneynature Journal. The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store.
