Disney pin collectors have a lot to look forward to in 2014 with new monthly and quarterly pin collections arriving throughout the New Year.
Returning next year is the monthly “Piece of Disney History” collection. This collection was first introduced in 2005 and each limited edition pin contains small pieces of items from attractions or shows.
The Walt Disney World “Piece of History” collection will contain items from the SpectroMagic parade, while the Disneyland collection will contain items from various attractions from the park, including a purple glove from Roger Rabbit’s Cartoon Spin.
There will also be a monthly “Eau de Magique” collection shared between Disneyland and Walt Disney World. In this collection each limited edition pin is attached to a scented card.
The 2014 quarterly pin collections are “Keyhole Characters” at Walt Disney World and “Ink and Paint Collection” for Disneyland.
Other special collections include a Steampunk inspired “Mechanical Kingdom” collection for Walt Disney World, and a limited release 30-pin collection called “Characters & Camera” that is going to be released at random times and locations throughout the year on both coasts.
And finally, there will be a jumbo-size pin released to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Disney’s Hollywood Studios in May.
