Disney Channel is kicking off the new year with its “JaNEWary” programming event featuring new episodes of hit shows and the premiere of a new original movie.
The movie – Cloud 9 – is based in the world of competitive snowboarding and tells the story of two snowboarders who must overcome self-doubt to learn that achieving their goals is possible.
Cloud 9 stars Luke Benward (Ravenswood, Good Luck Charlie) and Dove Cameron (Liv and Maddie), and is executive produced by Ashley Tisdale. The movie premieres on Friday, January 17 at 8 p.m. on Disney Channel.
The movie was made for kids ages 6-14 and also stars Mike C. Manning (Crash & Bernstein), Kiersey Clemons (Austin & Ally), and Jeffrey Nordling (24).
A new episode of Liv and Maddie also premiers on January 17, as does Disney Channel’s new comedy series I Didn’t Do It. Viewers will also get a sneak peek at the network’s new game show Disney’s Win, Lose, or Draw.
