A new table service location is set to open in the Morocco Pavilion at Epcot.
Spice Road Table is located on along the World Showcase Lagoon, giving diners a perfect viewing spot for IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth. The restaurant will be serving a variety of Moroccan small plates and specialty drinks.
Some of the dishes include zesty harissa chicken drumettes, an omelet with sausage, potatoes, and caramelized onions, mussels with preserved lemons and tomato sauce baked in a tagine pot, and jumbo shrimp in a spicy chile pepper sauce.
The design of Spice Road Table was inspired by the outdoor cafes of the Mediterranean and features a whitewashed façade with icy blue accents. There is a collection of shops styled after a Moroccan souk – marketplace – that will stretch along the front of the building.
Spice Road Table will have 120 outdoor terrace seats and 60 booths inside. The décor will feature Moroccan light fixtures, tilework, tapestries, and art that represents Morocco’s Berber tribes.
