The Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Tools for Back-to-School campaign started earlier this month and Disney is helping to sponsor this virtual school supply drive.
The online supply drive kicked off August 1 in Foley Square in New York City. A group of Disney VoluntEARS was on hand for the kick off that included a special performance by Disney Channel star Coco Jones.
Everyone can participate in the online supply drive by visiting GreatFutures.org/backtoschool and answering a fun, pop-quiz style game. Correct answers earn supplies for Club youth.
Radio Disney is also participating in the event with their own 31-event campaign that is happening around the country in an effort to raise awareness for the back-to-school campaign. Disney Channel fans will also see on-air TV spots about the campaign.
Every year Boys & Girls Clubs help nearly 2 million kids with homework help, tutoring, and academic achievement activities. Disney has also recently announced a $250,000 donation.
If you’d like to donate school supplies in person, there are collection bins available at local Disney Stores through September 3.
