We’ve shown you the menus and told you many delicious details about the 2013 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, and now we’re excited to share some information about the merchandise that will be available at the festival.
The artwork that is going to be featured at the festival this year takes a whimsical turn and features a bumbling chef and a backdrop of festival decor. Guests who look closely at the artwork might see Remy from Disney/Pixar’s Ratatouille in the chef’s hat.
The chef featured on the artwork doesn’t have a name, but he does have a bobble figurine that was sculpted by artist Robert King. The bobble figurine chef is precariously perched on top of Spaceship Earth while attempting to balance a tipsy glass of wine.
In addition to the bobble figure, the chef will be featured on reusable totes and other items.
New character artwork featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy as chefs is also debuting this year. There's no word yet on what items this will be featured on.
Duffy the Disney Bear returns to the festival merchandise this year, dressed in his chef’s whites. Other new items include a Mouse ear headband with a chef’s hat, a cranberry bog pin with Chip ‘n’ Dale, and a new Vinylmation figure of Chef Gusteau from Ratatouille.
This limited edition Vinylmation was designed by Disney artist Thomas Scott and will be packaged in a mystery box. The full-color version will have an edition size of 2,250 while the black and white version will have an edition size of 250 and will be harder to find.
The 2013 Epcot International Food and Wine Festival runs from September 27 through November 11. The merchandise can be found at the Festival Center and at various stands throughout Epcot.
