Fans of Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins will get an in-depth look at some of Doc’s cases and diagnoses after the clinic closes for the day in the new short-form series The Doc Files.
Doc McStuffins is about a little girl who can talk to and heal stuffed toys at her playhouse clinic. Since the show’s debut, it has been seen by nearly 100 million viewers in 160 countries and in 19 different languages.
The new short-form series is produced using a combination of CG and 2D flash animation. Each new episode of The Doc Files opens with Doc dictating a patient’s chart and recalling how she solved the case using her deductive skills. Cases include allergies, removing splinters, and the importance of healthy eating and exercise.
The first episode of The Doc Files premieres Monday July 22 at 9:25 a.m. ET on the Disney Channel and at 7:55 p.m. ET on Disney Junior, during a week of all new episodes of Doc McStuffins. Episodes of The Doc Files will also be available on DisneyJunior.com after they air on television.
