The Walt Disney Company and Cox Communications have renewed their affiliate partnership in an effort to deliver content to Cox subscribers across a variety of platforms. Now, Disney’s programming will be available to Cox customers via televisions, smartphones, internet-enabled t.v., gaming consoles, tablets and computers.
As part of the new multi-year agreement, Disney will be offering WatchESPN, WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior to Cox subscribers. Additionally, the company plans to make WATCH ABC and WATCH ABC Family available to Cox customers, as well. Now, the cable company’s current subscribers will have access to live and video-on-demand entertainment on both their in-home devices and out-of-home platforms.

Coupled with our investment in our broadband network and the development of innovative services like Cox TV Connect and TV Online, we’re enabling our customers to access their favorite news, sports and entertainment video content whenever and wherever they want it.
About 70 services are included in the agreement between Cox and Disney, including ABC, ABC Family, ABC News/Univision Joint Venture, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Disney XD, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN Deportes, ESPNEWS, ESPN Classic, ESPN Goal Line, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN 3D, ESPN GamePlan, ESPN Full Court, ESPN3, Longhorn Network and retransmission consent for KABC-TV. Over ten high-definition networks are also part of the renewal.
