This week has truly been an exciting one for Walt Disney World, with several different celebrations and grand openings taking place. In addition to the grand opening of New Fantasyland, Thursday also brought the grand opening of Epcot’s re-imagined Test Track Presented by Chevrolet.
Test Track Presented by Chevrolet is a completely revamped version of the former Test Track attraction. Guests now have the chance to design their own customized vehicle before boarding a “SimCar,” which allows them to test out their design on the attraction’s test course full of turns, hills, and straightaways.
Test Track officially reopened to the public on Thursday night with an elaborate grand opening celebration. Walt Disney World president Meg Crofton was on-hand at the “ac-celebration” to officially open the attraction with Mickey Mouse himself, and guests were treated to special launch party complete with lasers and special effects to illuminate the area around the attraction. Guests were also treated to a special performance by the band One Republic.
