Last spring, we let you know about Starbucks and Disney’s announcement that Starbucks would soon be opening new locations in Walt Disney World and Disneyland, the first of which opened in June with Buena Vista Street in Disney California Adventure. Now, Disney has announced the first Starbucks locations to open in Walt Disney World, which will be opening next summer in the Magic Kingdom and Epcot.
The new Starbucks locations will be revamped versions of two existing Walt Disney World dining locations: the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom and Fountain View in Epcot’s Future World. To make way for Starbucks, the Main Street Bakery will be closing in January 2013, with the revamped eatery opening in early summer 2013. Fountain View will close in March 2013 and reopen in midsummer 2013.
Much like the first Starbucks in Disney California Adventure, Fiddler, Fifer, & Practical Cafe, these revamped Starbucks locations will be appropriately themed to fit the area they’re in. The Main Street location will be themed to early 20th century America, while the Fountain View location will have a modern look and feel to suit the theme of Future World. The new eateries will sell signature Starbucks beverages along with baked goods and sandwiches.
