Disney XD will be debuting a new sci-fi animated comedy Slugterra on Monday, October 15 at at 3:30 p.m. ET/PT.
The new show will follow teenager Eli Shane and his friends – the Shane Gang – as they fight for justice in the mystical underground city of Slugterra. In order to become the city’s greatest slugslinger, Eli must collect, train and learn the inner workings of dueling with these magical creatures called slugs who will transform into various creatures during battle. Shane’s ultimate goal: to defeat the evil Dr. Blakk before he can take over the city.
Created and executive produced by Asaph Fipke, Slugterra features the voice talents of Sam Vincent, Lee Tockar, Shannon Chan-Kent, Andrew Francis and Mark Oliver. Before the premiere, Disney XD will launch an online game on October 1 dubbed “Battle for Slugterra.” Players will be able to take control of Eli and help him collect slugs and battle enemies as he traverses the caverns and tunnels on the underground world.
