This October, Tinker Bell fans will be able to see her and her fairy friends in a brand new tale with the release of Secret of the Wings on DVD and Blu-ray. In the new film, Tinker Bell meets her sister Periwinkle in the Winter Woods, and in honor of the film’s release, soon Disney park guests will be able to meet Periwinkle as well.
Periwinkle, a frost fairy who was born of the same laugh as Tinker Bell, will begin greeting guests in Walt Disney World and Disneyland next month. Park guests will be able to find her in Disneyland Park’s Pixie Hollow and in Tinker Bell’s Magical Nook in Magic Kingdom. In addition, Tinker Bell will now be dressed in her winter attire at the meet and greets in honor of the film, and the greeting area sets will get a new wintery appearance with a layer of snow and ice.
Periwinkle will appear in the parks beginning mid-September, and is currently expected to remain there through the winter. Secret of the Wings will be released on DVD and Blu-ray October 23.
