Disney XD already runs a “TRYit” program, which encourages kids to get up, get outside and try a new activity. Now, the network is expanding that initiative with TRYathlon.
Pairing professional athletes with Disney stars and regular viewers, the athletes will coach their team members to compete in a variety of activities that will not only test their skills but their teamwork as well.
The NFL’s Arian Foster is joined by the WNBA’s Candace Parker and the NBA’s Kevin Love. These three athletes will coach stars Leo Howard and Olivia Holt from Kickin’ It; Billy Unger and Spencer Boldman from Lab Rats and Doc Shaw and Adam Hicks from Pair of Kings. Additionally, three regular viewers from Georgia, Oregon and Texas will participate.
