This week brought an exciting new addition to Disneyland Resort Paris, as their new flagship World of Disney Store celebrated its grand opening. The new store, which is located at the entrance to the Resort’s Disney Village, officially opened to the public on July 12.
The 15,000 square foot store is decorated in an Art Deco style, and features a large selection of souvenirs. The outside of the shop features eight bas-relief statues of Disney characters and the Eiffel Tower, as well as a rotating dome roof with a statue of Tinker Bell gilded in gold leaf. Inside, the elaborately themed store features a series of murals and a centerpiece of a hot air balloon with Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and Pluto inside. The new store marks the third theme park location for World of Disney, with stores currently operating in both the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World.
