According to the Orlando Sentinel, Epcot’s interactive scavenger hunt, Agent P’s World Showcase Adventure, is now open and ready to accept Field Operative Recruits.
The game, which replaces the popular KimPossible World Showcase Adventure, sends guests on secret missions throughout World Showcase, as Agent P battles his arch-nemesis, the goofily evil Dr. Doofenschmirtz, who is usually bent on “taking over the tri-state area.”
The adventure is based upon the characters of Disney’s wildly popular animated series Phineas and Ferb. Agent P, who has a cover at Phineas and Ferb’s pet platypus, spends the better part of episodes trying to foil the evil schemes of Doofenschmirtz. In an ironic twist, Dr. D always manages to do away with whatever grand plan that Phineas and Ferb have invented to pass the summer day away.
The story follows the Flynn-Fletcher clan on their family vacation (with pet Perry in a cat carrier.) That trip coincides with Dr. D wrecking havoc through several different countries. Along the way, guests can help Agent P in his quest to defeat his enemy. Players receive instructions through their F.O.N.E. (Field Operatives Notifications Equipment.)
Currently, the game is in the “test and adjust mode,” but eventually, it will include missions in the pavilions of Mexico, China, Norway, United Kingdom, France, Germany, and Japan.
If you’re interested in being “recruited” to aide Agent P, look for stations at the crossing into World Showcase from FutureWorld. There are also stations located in some of the countries in World Showcase.
