Hong Kong Disneyland to Grow Indonesian Tourism

In an effort to attract more Indonesian arrivals to the theme park, Hong Kong Disneyland is increasing their efforts to attract more Indonesian tourists.

As of this writing, they’ve already appointed Indonesian liaison representatives and have launched a website and promotional brochures in Bahasa Indonesia. During a media event in Jakarta yesterday, Hong Kong Disneyland vice president of sales and distribution marketing, Terruce Wang said:

In the 2011 fiscal year, the resort experienced a 15 per cent increase in guests from Indonesia over the previous year, with over 70 per cent indicating an intention to revisit the park in the future.

Hong Kong Disneyland Resort also appointed World Discovery Travel Network and partner AVS Indonesia to help tap business opportunities and grow support for local trade partners. During the media event, Wong also said that “the time is ripe” to grow Indonesian tourism to the theme park, considering the current park expansion (Toy Story Land opened last year, and Grizzly Gulch will open July 14.)
