As of July 1st, Disney Vacation Club has started selling real estate interests for the company’s first Hawaii resort, Aulani. Scheduled to open it’s first phase of resort villas in fall 2011, it will be the 11th Disney Vacation Club resort. Aulani will boast 21 acres of waterfront property, a snorkel lagoon, an 18,000 square foot spa, two restaurants, conference center, multiple pools and hot tubs, as well as a wedding lawn.
“We are thrilled to give families joining Disney Vacation Club a new resort option in one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world,” said Disney Vacation Club President Jim Lewis. “Once Aulani opens, families will be able to immerse themselves in the culture of Hawaii while knowing that they will get the quality vacation experience only Disney can deliver.”
Membership in the Disney Vacation Club offers vacation flexibility with plenty of options for families of all sizes; various accommodation options, a flexible “points” system where members aren’t locked into one specific week like traditional timeshares, member discounts, and the popular option of “adding-on” to your membership over time. Currently, there are more than 450,000 individual members from approximately 100 countries and all 50 states.
