Shanghai Disney Resort, whose production began last April, has launched its first hiring drive and are looking for approximately 100 positions to fill at this time.
An official spokesperson for Shanghai Disney Resort says:
We believe that Disney represents great service and excellence in what we do. So we like to have high level talent. We also like to develop talent. We bring them in. We really invest in development.
Disney will be filling the majority of the positions with local talent, to keep the park “distinctly Chinese” while replicating the true Disney atmosphere. Locals have responded well to the first hiring drive, and officials say the number of applications received far outweigh initial expectations.
When Shanghai Disney is completed, it will house the theme park, two themed hotels, a dining center and several other recreational facilities. The resort is slated to open sometime in 2015.
