The only Jewish musical group to ever win a grammy, The Klezmatics will be appearing at The Walt Disney Concert Hall tonight to celebrate Hanukkah and the group’s 25th anniversary.
The Klezmatics blend traditional klezmer music with other worldly influences, and are consistently met with rave reviews. The band has also received numerous awards and accolades over their 25 year career, including the German Critics’ Award and the GLAMA Gay and Lesbian American Music Award for their album The Wall. Many of their recordings have also skyrocketed to the top of the charts, including reaching #1 in the Billboard Magazine World Music Chart.
