The rainforest-themed restaurant also features a unique dining experience and decor, including talking animals that recite rainforest facts and simulated thunder and rainstorms.
If you are in the mood for more worldly fare, visit the Africa section of the theme park and stop by the Tusker House Restaurant. This special restaurant features family-style buffet dining serving up delicious African cuisine, as well as character dining opportunities. The character breakfast and lunch opportunities include Donald’s Dining Safari Breakfast and Donald’s Dining Safari Lunch, both of which serve African influenced dishes you can enjoy while visiting with your favorite Disney characters.
While there are plenty of choices for the meat eater in your group, Tusker House also serves several vegetarian dishes as well. The buffet will feature a rotating selection of choices, which can include spit-roasted carved meats, stews, unique salads, desserts and a special kid’s buffet. Adults can also enjoy a signature cocktail or a bottle of Safari Amber Brew or South African wine.
The Asia pavilion in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park features the popular Yak and Yeti Restaurant, situated at the base of Mt. Everest in the town of Anandapur. A combination of Chinese, Indian and Nepalese cuisine is served up here in this beautifully decorated restaurant.
Guests of the Yak and Yeti Restaurant can dine on such signature dishes as tempura battered shrimp or roasted half duckling, while children can enjoy egg rolls, burgers and veggie lo mein. A full bar is also available, serving up authentic Asian beers and wines, as well as saki, hot teas and specialty cocktails.
Directly adjacent to the Yak and Yeti Restaurant is the Yak and Yeti Local Foods Cafe, a quick-service restaurant that offers a selection of lunch, dinner and snacks like Mandarin chicken salad, egg rolls, and delicious desserts like mango pie.
Finally, the Royal Anandapur Tea Company located in the back of the Asia pavilion is a great place to unwind and take in the sights and sounds of the theme park. This tea stand offers a variety of teas from around the world, as well as specialty selections that will change periodically. For the traditionalist, cappuccino, smoothies, hot chocolate and frozen lemonade are also available, as well as a nice selection of breakfast pastries to enjoy with your beverage.
