Disney Channel and Disney XD fans headed to Comic-Con International next month certainly have a lot to be excited for. Disney recently announced the events that Comic-Con guests will be able to attend at the annual four-day long convention held in San Diego, CA. The offerings will include panels, special experiences, and screenings, giving fans a deeper look into their favorite Disney Channel and Disney XD shows.
The Disney show that will have the largest presence at Comic-Con this year will be Disney Channel’s hit series Phineas and Ferb. As previously announced, “Perry the Platy-bus On Tour” will be at the convention July 21-24. The “platy-bus,” which kicks off its cross-country tour at Times Square on July 11, will offer guests the chance to play the upcoming Phineas and Ferb video game “The Movie Game: The Dimension of Doooom!” and sing “perry-oke.” Disney will also offer premium giveaways and a collection of exclusive Comic-Con figurines for purchase.
Phineas and Ferb fans will also have the chance to see some of the actors and creators behind the show at the show’s panel on Friday, July 22, 2011. The Phineas and Ferb panel will feature creators and executive producers Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh, in addition to cast members Vincent Martella (“Phineas”), Ashley Tisdale (“Candace”), Dee Bradley Baker (“Perry”) and Olivia Olson (“Vanessa”).
On Saturday, July 23, fans of the show will also be treated to a special sneak preview of the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension, followed by a Q&A with Dan Povenmire and Swampy Marsh. In addition, cast and crew members from the show will be available to meet and greet fans during autograph sessions throughout the weekend, which will be located at the “Phineas and Ferb-Disney Channel/Disney XD” booth on the convention floor, directly opposite from the main entrance.
While Phineas and Ferb will be leading Disney Channel’s Comic-Con offerings, Disney will be offering other panels and screenings for some of their other shows as well. Saturday, July 23 will feature the Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil panel, which will feature creator/executive producer Sandro Corsaro and the show’s cast, as well as a special guest appearance by NBA star Dwight Howard. At this panel, fans will also get a special sneak peek at the upcoming Disney XD animated series Tron: Uprising and Motorcity.
On Sunday, July 24, Disney will host a Fish Hooks panel. This panel will feature creator/executive producer Noah Z. Jones, executive producer Maxwell Atoms, director Bill Reiss and cast including “Dancing with the Stars” finalist Chelsea Kane (“Bea”), Atticus Shaffer (“Albert Glass”) and Justin Roiland (“Oscar”). A sneak peek at the new Disney Channel animated series Gravity Falls will also be shown.
Autograph sessions for both Kick Buttowski – Suburban Daredevil and Fish Hooks will take place immediately preceding each of the respective panels at the “Phineas and Ferb-Disney Channel/Disney XD” booth.
