Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is one of the four Disney Value Resorts, and officially opened on November 22, 1994. Located in Lake Buena Vista, FL the resort has 1,604 hotel rooms and features gigantic icons that pay tribute to various music genres, including Broadway tunes, jazz, country, rock n’ roll and calypso. The various icons include guitars, cowboy boots, a Broadway marquee, fiddles, top hats, and more that represent each themed area of the resort.
All of the guest rooms are divided into five pairs of 3-story buildings, and each section is themed after the different musical genres. Additionally, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is the only Value resort that offers family suites, which can accommodate up to 6 people. There are several room types available, including standard rooms, preferred rooms and the family suites. All room types have the option of a courtyard view, pool view or parking lot view depending on availability.
There’s only one dining option available at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, which is the Intermission Food Court. The food court is decorated with murals of iconic musicians, and you can find all sorts of food here including burgers, pizza, quesadillas, sandwiches, french toast and other breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Guests can also visit Maestro Mickey’s inside Melody Hall, the main building of the resort, for vacation sundries and Disney merchandise and souvenirs to take home.
Recreational activities at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort are also available, including specialized activities for both kids and adults to enjoy. Guests can enjoy the 1 mile long jogging trail that circles the resort, or enjoy Disney Movies Under the Stars during select times of the year. Directly adjacent to the Intermission Food Court is the Note’Able Games Arcade, a high-tech arcade with plenty of video games and pinball machines located in the Melody Hall Building, which will be fun for the whole family.
Between the Calypso and Jazz Inn sections, children can enjoy the playground built especially for little ones, featuring slides, swings and more gym equipment. The resort also features two swimming pools for guests to relax, swim and soak up the sun. The main pool is dubbed the Calypso Pool and is shaped like a giant guitar. The pool also features a nice statue of the Three Caballeros – Donald Duck, Jose Carioca and Panchito. The smaller second pool is called the Piano Pool, and is shaped to resemble a grand piano.
Transportation to and from Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is also quick and convenient, and complimentary for resort guests. Disney’s Magical Express and various buses can transport guests to and from the resort and other areas, including the four theme parks, the Downtown Disney Area, the water parks and other Walt Disney World Resort areas.
Disney’s All-Start Music Resort remains a popular Value resort within Walt Disney World Resort, and offers unique decor, American cuisine, recreational activities and the standard amenities guests expect from a Disney hotel. Finally, the resort was also recognized by the Florida Green Lodging Program for its responsible environmental practices.
