Pixar has officially made public the title treatment and synopsis for Monsters University, the prequel to the box office hit Monsters, Inc.
Here’s a brief summary:
Mike Wazowski and James P. Sullivan are an inseparable pair, but that wasn’t always the case. From the moment these two mismatched monsters met they couldn’t stand each other. Monsters Universityunlocks the door to how Mike and Sulley overcame their differences and became the best of friends.
A hi-res color version of the official film logo, seen above, was also released. Monsters University will feature Billy Crystal and John Goodman reprising their iconic animated roles from the first film in the franchise, and is expected to hit theaters June 21, 2013.
