Zac Efron continues his efforts to move into more adult film roles. His latest effort is an adaption of Brian Michael Bendis’ graphic novel “Fire,” according to a recent report.
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Efron will take the starring role as a college student who is recruited by the CIA. The complication occurs when he is subsequently marked for termination by the CIA. Bendis, the original author of the graphic novel, will handle the screenplay duties and seems pleased with the outcome.
Efron is currently best known for his role in the High School Musical series, but is currently seeking more adult roles to shed his “teen heartthrob” image.
