We have some exciting news for you today, DisZine readers – two new Specialty Room offerings are coming to the Walt Disney World Resort!
The first specialty offering, brand-new health and wellness suites, will debut this fall at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. These gorgeous suites will feature 100 percent cotton sheets, bamboo floors, non-allergenic wrapped mattresses and breathtaking views of Magic Kingdom and Bay Lake.
The bathrooms have their own little luxuries as well, including tea tree oils and rainwater showers for a relaxing, spa-like experience. In addition, guests will also be able to indulge in seasonal and organic fresh foods at the concierge lounge, or enjoy a yoga session or a relaxing spa treatment at the resort’s newly renovated wellness studio. Finally, guests will also have the option of having cardio fitness equipment brought right to their rooms.
The next Specialty Room offering, which will debut by March 2012, are the 512 Royal Guest Rooms at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort. In true Disney fashion, these rooms have a story behind them. The story says that Princess Tiana, the title character of Disney’s The Princess and The Frog, invited her royal friends – the other Disney Princesses – over for a luxurious getaway.
These rooms are perfect for families, but all ages will enjoy these deluxe accommodations that include ornate beds with fiber-optic headboards; gold and crystal accents, and gorgeous artwork and mementos left behind by Tiana’s royal friends.
The health and wellness suites and Royal Guest Rooms are only the latest in Disney’s Specialty Room line. The line already includes pirate-themed rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, as well as Donald Duck-themed rooms at Tokyo Disney Resort and many more. The collection will only expand once Disney’s Art of Animation Resort opens in May 2012.
