On May 7, Disneyland will host the first-ever 3D outdoor film premiere for Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the event is expected to draw plenty of Hollywood celebrities, as well as all of the film’s stars!
Ticket prices for individuals are $1,000, and proceeds will go to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, which will help fund their mission to enable young boys and girls to recognize their full potential. Tickets can be purchased via piratespremiere.com.
Remember, only guests who have been specifically invited and/or purchased tickets can attend this exclusive event, but guests at Disneyland park may be lucky enough to view the “Red Carpet Arrivals” on Main Street, U.S.A. if they’re quick enough! Viewing capacity will be very limited, however.
To allow this world premiere to go off without a hitch, be aware that Disneyland Resort park hours have been changed for this particular day. Disneyland Park will now open at 7 a.m. and close at 5 p.m., while Disney California Adventure will open at 10 a.m. and close at 11 p.m.
Don’t be discouraged if you weren’t invited to this special world premiere, though – remember, eager fans who can’t wait for the film to hit theaters May 20 can join Jack’s crew for pirate adventures of their own at Disneyland Park every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night through May 30, and and seven nights a week from April 15 through May 1.
