At the spirited age of 17 not only has actress Selena Gomez gained teenaged fame on Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place,” but she’s about to add designer to her list of accomplishments.
Gomez’s “Dream Out Loud” collection for Kmart stores will initially feature accessories, purses, and sportswear aimed at teenagers like herself. Eventually the line is expected to expand, featuring shoes as well. Timing may be everything, as the line is set to launch in late July, right when the back-to-school rush is on. In an economy where parents ‘seek to save’ on back-to-school shopping, the discount retailer paired with a hip celebrity line may be appreciated by teens & parents alike.
