When guests arrive to Pandora – The World of Avatar on May 27 they won’t go hungry. A new fast-casual restaurant and drink kiosk will be open.
Satu’li Canteen, a fast-casual restaurant, resembles a mess hall from the Resources Development Administration base that was once part of Pandora.
Now it is operated by Alpha Centauri Expeditions (ACE) and will serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
At the Canteen guests can enjoy customizable “Canteen Bowls” with a base of quinoa and vegetable salad; red and sweet potato hash; mixed whole-grain and rice or romaine and kale salad, topped with grilled chicken, slow-roasted beef, sustainable fish, or fried tofu. The bowls are finished with charred onion chimichurri, black bean vinaigrette, or creamy herb dressing.
The menu also features steamed bao buns filled with cheeseburger ingredients or vegetable curry. Kids can order grilled chicken or beef, fish, or tofu with greens or rice; or a hot dog wrapped in Parker House dough; a cheese quesadilla; or a steamed pod.
Desserts are Blueberry Cheesecake with Passion Fruit Curd or Chocolate Cake with a Crunchy Cookie Layer, Banana Cream and Goji Berries.
Beverages at the Canteen include draft beers, Pandoran blend sangria, wine, and a non-alcoholic blend of juices in a souvenir cup featuring a removable pan flute.
Next door to Satu’li Canteen is Pongu Pongu, a drink kiosk with a name that means “party party” in the Na’vi language. The menu here features a signature frozen drink – Frozen Nectar – along with a Screaming Banshee Margarita and Avatar Private Label Ale.
