If anyone believes that the kids deserve their own celebration, it’s Disney. And since midnight comes way too late for most little tykes, Mickey has figured out a way to bring the New Year’s celebration to them!
On New Year’s Eve, December 31, Radio Disney will host “Noon Year’s Eve” in 20 of the nation’s cities. Billed as a family friendly affair, the celebrations will take place in popular spots, like museums and zoos, at different times throughout the day.
The daytime celebration will feature popular songs from Radio Disney’s “Top 50 Countdown of 2010,” as well as the traditional ball drop and countdown (ball drop when, and countdown to what…we’re not sure. But we know it will be fun!) The event will also include Disney trivia and fun games for the whole family.
