It’s official: Phineas and Ferb have hit the big time!
No, we’re not talking about their quest to save the Osborne Family Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It seems that the lovable characters – well, typically little brother characters, anyway – have landed their very own movie deal.
Disney announced earlier this week that Sean Bailey, fresh off of his work with Tron: Legacy, would be developing the project. But while the green light has definitely been given, few details are being shared at this point. One thing they didshare: the format will combine live action and animated elements, similar to the duo’s spinoff, “Take Two with Phineas and Ferb,” where the stars interview celebrities like Jack Black, Seth Rogan, and Emma Roberts.
No release date or production schedule has been provided. Until we know more, fans can look forward to “Phineas and Ferb Across the 2nd Dimension,” an original feature-length movie which will air on The Disney Channel next summer.
