Downtown Disney Marketplace is getting a new retail location in the spring of 2014. The Marketplace Co Op is set to take over the current location of Team Mickey next to TrenD.
The new store is actually shops within a shop and will be showcasing new and innovative Disney retail concepts.
The Marketplace Co Op will “serve as a laboratory to showcase new concepts and specialty products” according to Tom Sheldon, manager of retail design and development for Disney Theme Park Merchandise.
The new store will retain the current building’s ceiling and skylight, but the construction and design will be altered to reveal its craftsman style. The interior space will accommodate several stores.
Inside the Marketplace Co Op shoppers will find six new spaces: Beautifully Disney, Cherry Tree Lane, D-Tech on Demand, The Trophy Room, Centerpiece, and Zoey and Pickles.
Beautifully Disney will sell makeup, fragrances, and accessories and Cherry Tree Lane will be the destination for women with a passion for scarves, shoes, and jewelry. If you’re looking to personalize your electronics head to D-Tech on Demand, and guests looking to add some Disney décor to their home can find it at Centerpiece. Zoey and Pickles is a girls’ clothing store.
